Yeah, this way Midland has changed considerably when Guts returns. When he left the Hawks the first time they were in great shape and when he returned they were on the run, Griffith was physically barely alive, etc.
In the short run I think we’re not too excited about these chapters… but in the long haul it is a necessary and memorable part of the story.

I think, and I’m only guessing, that though bringing an end to the war, Griffith’s rule will replace free will with his divine will, and somehow bad things will come from it. I feel Gats has always represented the idea of free will (he is always telling others to ‘do what they want’) and he’s the epitome of human life and its natural tendency to struggle in order to live. Somehow the author is pitting Griffith to be (or eventually be) the overbearing presence of God/religion and blind devotion, and Gats will be the “make your own destiny” gift of free will that battles against this. I dono, that’s just me.

I’m wondering whats going to happen when Gut’s, Caska, and Co. make it to the Fairy Kingdom, will Caska be able to speak to Gut’s again or will she forever be mute? Plus I want to see how far the relationships between Zodd, (Void), and The Skullknight go back. Ohhh I’d also like to see if Shilat will become an Apostle seeing to as he already knows about the “God Land”…theres alot going on. But eh, I am a patient man, I can wait…

mm, that could do the trick too,, the way I see it, the theme is always somewhat like the ‘late hero’ or ‘sorrow and pain’ or along those lines, like the time when guts first fought the fat apostle, then against femto/Griffith, then against the other apostles etc, etc. so i guess we can all agree to some extent that the requirement for Guts to win an almost impossible fight is for him to be in one helluva pain and sometime sorrow as well as hatred huh? lol

Guts is going to need a Massive power boost like somewhere around 50x his current power. at his current level, fighting against one apostle is difficult. combine the berserk armor and he could probably take on 2-5 apostles before his body becomes heavily damaged. and all this is from just fighting a handful of apostles. fighting an army of apostles at his current level would have Guts murdered after a few battles. not to mention the fact that he needs to fight against Griffith also and we’ve seen what happened when he did. i hope going to see the fairy king will give Guts a major power boost to decimate the apostles without having Guts becoming more than human.
I have been reading these comments for a while as well and I’m really waiting to see what happens when the crew gets to Fairy island.. Somehow I believe the trip going to waste, Casca won’t get back to normal and everything else also going to hell.. I hope they can.. um, fix, her.. But just don’t see that happening..

And in order to get apostles as already said he’ll get some drugy-armory boosters + hate and rage thingys, so he will turn up to be something ugly and scary. And when he finally meets Casca she will refuse to see him again. Japanese guys like to mess up love story lines.

there is no comparison between berserk and bleach.
bleach is a common manga, and entertaining but Berserk is infinatly better designed. the characters in Berserk are better depicted the fight scenes are a lot better, the manga in general over comes anything that Bleach can even dream about becoming.

I wish the chapters were released every week like mainstream anime or atleast have like 7 chapter all released after like 2 months at the same time. What if some of us die because of some accident before the manga finishes. Or the author dies before he finishes making it. That would reeeeeeeelly suck. i like to read the mainstream mangas lol of course berserk is completely on a different level of skill and quality, but the mainstreams such as naruto and bleach are still fun to read, as well as highly anticipated – seeing as they’re weekly releases.. which is good sometimes, but that isn’t enough time to put in as much detail as muira does for berserk. Which is y berserk is more awsumer ^^

Hey, guys (und gals). My name is Constantine, and i am a Berserk Fan:P. I’ve been a Berserk fan from the moment i started reading volume 1 (which was about 3 years ago). Since then i’ve read the whole manga like 7-8 times, and i have to say it is still my favourite manga, seeing that being long doesn’t hurt it at all – it becomes even more interesting with each chapter. I’ve been gnawing on my leg for the past few months because of the goddamn hiatus (or whats it called)
I would like to share a few thoughts. Feel free to throw rotten tomatoes.
First, why the hell everybody seems to think that Griffiths is the antagonist in this series??! I mean, sure, Femto was, but i am pretty sure his rebirth changed him a good deal. And look what he is doing – he is fighting the fucking apocalypse! He fucken united humans and apostles without them hating and eating each other (well, i suppose this could have gone only one way…) When i try to see him as he is, say, since his rebirth, without taking into account his past as traitor and demon-rapist, well, darn – HE SEEMS LIKE A NICE GUY. Well, sure he is going to take the throne, but look at the last king of Midland – he was a mother fucken sicko who tried to suck on his daughters tit! Id say its a nice change…
Second: I don’t think that apostles are inherently evil by nature. I suppose they are only given power, but how they use it depends on their personality.
And lastly – i think Gutts might really be the Dark Hawk. That would be a nice twist.
Also, i think Casca will be cured, but will hate Gutts for doing this (curing her escape from reality=retardedness), and hating Griffiths for doing this to her she will commit suicide. Gutts will go nuts, go to fight with apostles, gets wicked butsecks from them, almost dies, invokes the behelit (no longer carrying about anything), and tries to take on Griffiths. This scenario seems possible))

well let me cut to the chase, personally, i dun think the reborn griff is a total antagonist/devil-incarnate/evil/etc.,etc., tho camarade, u can’t deny it is hard to let go of a grudge, but wit all due respect we all at the very least agree that FEMTO is the %@$@#! one (too troublesome to curse), griff? he’s just too ambitious, can’t blame him…
sure gettin’ errbody united is quite a feat (yes, we can! not intended to diss obama btw) especially when he does fight against the ‘twisted/bad’ apostle, so wat im tryin’ to say is simple, reborn griff=not entirely bad but can still be categorized as the cool bad guy or s’thing like dat (u can’t deny for a ‘bad’ guy, dat dude got style) but yet once again i’m sayin’ it’s hard to let go of a grudge n we all kno dat guts’ supposed to be the main character, so whoever fucked wit him, then we’ll indirectly consider that dude as the bad guy, it’s psychological, naw mean?
secondly, of course, besides, if i’m not mistaken, at first all of ‘em apostles were humans rite? and as we all know, humans, always have good n bad in them, so to call them evil by nature, it’s not wrong but it ain’t rite either, it’s philosophical shit, not my forte but watever, i just hope u get wat i mean =P
guts as the black hawk? well he’s going that way alrite wit all his power up n situations n whatnot, just hope (to miura-sensei) dat at the very least everything will end wit a bang or alright, if it sucks (which i hope not) i’m so going to stop reading every other arcs but the golden arc (from the beginning and only until guts bailed out from dem hawks (gotta agree dat that’s one of the coolest parts he ever did) or until he n Caska fucked like rabbits lol)
then last, it is, in my view, one of the highest possibilities dat could happen, knowin’ her past self and in addition her attitude at the present, if the sane caska were to somewhat remember her (didn’t want 2 use this but for the lack of better description) retarded self, then her hatred to guts might multiply but me, i’m on the side that says she won’t (only cuz i’d want her to, i’m a pro GutsCaska fan, so sue me =P)

protangonist and antagonist (goodguy badguy) can be viewd from 2 points of view, the crowd in the manga, and the reader.
of course from a reader point of view Guts will always be the goodguy and Griffth the bad guy, because we know more about whats goin on then the crowds do, what happend with the Behelit, the true desires of Griffth and more… but if u think of it from the crowds, Griffth, the white hawk is the good guy, because just like was mentioned, he saves people, and he brought apostols and humans together fighting what seems to be a bigger evil, Gutz seems to be goin in a dark hawk way, he will become, (how i see the manga goin) the bad guy. but again this is from teh crowds point of view, the savor Griffth against the disturber of the peace Gutz.
now we as readers know more about the story , we have some inside knowledge about whats really goin on.
both of the characters have their roles, and depending on whos point of view ur considering things can change easily.
the manga can go in a lot of different ways from this point, the whole Femto/new Griffth thing. and a lot of other things can change the manga dramatically.
im not sure whats goin to happen, but i find it wierd that the new Griffth is kinda like Caska’s baby, since the big apostol/Behelit had the baby inside of him, and Griffth came out of him… so.. im preaty sure theres more there ! Caska rememberign things might wanna find out what happend, then when she does.. what will she do? kill Griffth like Gutz wishes? or…
i love Berserk and i cant wait for the next one to come out
and one more thing about human nature, like Hawk hinted at, Apostols might not be evil by nature, but all things considered they did something bad, something evil, something unforgivable to become an apostol, they all did? isnt that why they are granted that power?
think back to the first apostols Gutz kills, when they show how those peopel became apostols…
i believe they might not be fully evil, like Femto and the others, but Evil is in them and it will take a lot to make me cross the line there.

but do agree with u uncleT if they dont reach it, and it starts all over again it would be really … sad… i must say i dont believe it would happen thou, i dont believe the manga has been repetitive so far, unlike Bleach or Naruto or more mainstraim mangas, where the same kinda of drama takes place over and over again.
Berserk seems to flow from tiem to time, nothing has ever happend before, and nothing ever seems to repeat itself (im overlooking the whole history repeats itself between SK-Void-Zodd Gutz-Griffth) its always new, interesting and captivating, i dont believe Miura-sensei would do that do us, i dont believe he is that kidna of writer/drawer

Yeah that’s true, most mainstream mangaka got a kinda repetitive plot tho they just either added/reduced/mixed/etc.,etc. something to make it ‘slightly’ different, unlike the more cult-type mangaka, because their plot is way deeper, they cut the unnecessary repetitive scenes and always come up with something else (if they failed to do so, well, God help ‘em), mostly that type of manga are seinen-like, coz it requires a more in-depth understanding of the flow rather than mainstream where, granted, there are some in-depth flow but only to some extent, they’d rather focus on the ‘whoa’ impact since it’s, after all, directed for teens =S

spaming isnt a good thing, caz just like Kreiger hinted at, they reduce the chapters , the details isnt as great anymore, plainly the manga will just decrease in value.
wiating isnt a bad thing, but when u wait months at a time for a few pages of manga then it gets agrevating, in my opinion one chapter per month is more then understanding.
i have never written / drew a manga before so i cant say for sure, but to me 1 month seems enough time to write one chapter. and i believe 1 per month would make us all feel better

I’m new to berserk btw. I just started reading 2 days ago, and boy it was a marathon! just finished 302….
All along I have been dying for a kickass hardcore manga in which the Good guyz have to fight tooth and nail for every inch of ground they gain and villains are beyond godlike giving the protagonist a run for his life.. not many mangas have been able to fulfill my wish, but man berserk didn’t just do that, it blew my mind.
one complain i have for the mianstream manga (naruto,bleach) is that they are not dark enough for me. not much good guyz are slain… but this is where berserk delivers… its darkness and awesome art set it in a different league then all other manga…
normally i feel a little sympathy for the villains (if they are not too bad) and i feel that the villains don’t get to enjoy their life much before being nailed by the protagonist… but again in berserk, griffith is having a time of his life right now….
I though i would like that, but when him raping casca was too much… i don’t feel a shroud of sympathy towards that sob.
And the way is acting like a messiah and all the people hailing their knight in shining armor is pissing me off to no end..
I want Gatts to rip griffith’s guts out and make him die a most painful death….

I don’t see Gatts going quietly with Caska and leaving griffith alone even if she wishes for it. He’s traveling to Elf land because it is the one place where he can leave Caska with having to worry about her safety. He is planning to leave her there and go kick girffith’s ass.
Moreover, I can’t see the manga ending with Gatts and caska living happily and leaving griffith alone. That would be a letdown.

The first time ive even heard of the word berserk was when i was like 8 or 9, we had a dreacast and my oldest bro let me and my other bro have a bunch of games. I played the hell out of this game called “Sword of the Berserk” NEVER KNOWING that 1 it was not teh true story but 2 was compelled by Gutts’s struggle. MY friend that i kknew since grade schoole the told me he heard about a berserk manga nad a ps2 game. I was enchanted when i first layed eyes on teh scans.
I’ve read all of the comments on here and the Idolmasters thing was just some guy raging in teh forums on a site.
i wont be on here often so I’ ll leave you all with as much as i can.

I think Guts and Co. will get there, and unlock the “Caska’s Sanity” Achievement but she will fire a shinku Noyuken at Gutts for making her remember all the terrible things that happened. When she she decideds to leave Gutts and got to Griff, Gutt’s pulls off a combo breaker and gets 15 exp for stopping her by explaining the situation. He will level up from the ain of exp but will lose party members because i dont think that religous chick will stay around if caska is sain.
Grifith will Capture all bases and become teh ruler, and then seek out any oppressors. then well, basically what sacwhite said.(he will force his small sack of ambition onto all while Gutt’s truck load of free will will dominate.)
but i think griffith will win and teh people will then realize that they were dumb fucks, but Gutt’s dosn’t really die and uses the beihlit(exuse teh spellin) and sacrifises the apostoles instead of humans(it never said you couldn’t) him pulling that off would set the stage for a fair one on one fight with griffith
and yea i think one more terrible thing will happen to caska, like death after she regains her memory(of course b4 he uses teh beihlit.
If i confused you guys im sorry but this is how i think it would go down, and as for the result, i think it will be like the skull knight and void, Gutts and Griffith will be at it forever, ending the game. Then you return your rented game with the few achievement points you got b4 the week ends. lol.

Also, if we rush the chapters, we’re gonna reach the end of berserk sooner than we would want.. which would suck. But seriously 1 chapter every 6 months is too long. Berserk should strictly follow the bi-monthly schedule, that it originally follows.
Don’t worry people even if we have to issues a month, Berserk is not gonna finish anytime soon. I want to see it end in about 5,6 years. That would be perfect.
I’m 22 years old btw, and I don’t want berserk to take 10,15 more years, so that I have to watch it with my kids.
5~6 huh? that sounds like a plan… it’s true tho, if things got dragged on too long, it’ll just lose its flava, like detective conan somewhat (too many freakin’ unnecessary cases tho i don’t really complain in terms of ideas/creativity/imagination)
