Been a while since we've seen Guts! The author really went all the way with the light engulfing the world, a lot of big and detailled pictures. I guess he really wants the reader to know that 'shit has hit the fan'. I have no idea how Guts will go on, now that the whole world is gonna be against him.
again 0 content and all images.. i hope next chapter the story is gonna move on cause is gettin kinda boring in this way
Yeah, but still I guess it was all leading up to this big world changing event. Plus the multipage images are excellent. I liked the view from the moon.
yea the ilustration is indeed good but is been a lot of numbers like this now, we need the good old berserk back, at least me hehe
If you pay attention to I think page 9, the one with Guts getting engulfed by the light, you can see that Miura drew both of his arms, or more than should have been there anyway. Also see his hair un-gray?

I think the light is healing all his wound, perhaps even his arm ?
It looks like his other battle scars are healing as well, hard to tell. But what's more interesting is that the white streak in his hair looks like it's original black color now. He's still got his eye closed so it's hard to tell if all his wounds are healing or not.
Maybe the differences are just the light hitting him, but it'd be nice to have a Guts with both of his arms, that is kind of important for fighting.
An extra eye so he has two would probably help him take a couple swings at Griffith as well.
He wouldn't have quite the same face splitting jab without the metal arm, or the canon, but yeah it would be nice for him to get healed up. Then he'd just have the brand to fix properly in Elfhelm I suppose.
I don't think he gets the left hand back. You can see that the left hand is badly drawn where the metal is. There is also a possibility that Guts is getting deeper in to the astral world.
if pay attencion its like him astral form,and left arm still mechanical i guess because the right dnt have shadow and left have.
If you look at the page before, Guts has his left arm wrapped in bandages. Would probably explain why if looks like he actually has his left arm when the light hit him.
As for the hair, I have no clue.

Berserk is really starting to get strange now, wonder where Miura is going with this. Does anyone actually know what this light is? is it just destroying the boundaries between worlds/dimensions or have I misunderstood?
so far, what we can tell is that this light is Griffith/Femto after he approach Ganishka's eye and...did something (fuse with him...etc) and so far it's healing those who come in contact with it
It also appears to be breaking boundaries...not sure

From my understanding, SK's sword can cut through dimension boundaries, so when what looked like Griffith taking control over the opening between different dimensions that SK created while trying taking a shot at Griffith has spread over the world and maybe thats why there are unicorns, harpies and other mythical beasts running around?
But that doesnt really make sense, as there were already elves, daemons, kelpies, ogres and trolls already existing in the world

hey, i saw guts at least. been long enough, i didnt mind this chapter just because guts showed up, myths becoming reality?
plz dont tell me a leviathan is going to interfer with Guts' journey to pucks home
mm, it's once again full of detailed images but at least it's getting steady again (the release of new chapters) so I won't complain although I gotta agree a little with blurpox,, even with other arcs it didn't take more than half a chapter to show how 'big' something is (as in the detailed image), at most it'd be 5~7 pages n then on with the story...
Oh well, as long as he has an ending and the plot all planned out then i won't complain, just bear with it and be hopeful that my patience will be paid out lol
though it's also something to be reckoned with, the level of his drawing that is... it's very artistic i feel...
So Harpies are gonna fight a Hydra at the end?

Its not really like I am in the position to complain, because I am not paying to read this but still... only 14 pages without any text is short.
And the unicorns confused me... The hydra or the harpies arent so far from the demons we are used to see. And we are already on the way to Elfe-land so there is not SO much in the change of world I think. XD
I don't think we will only see bad magical creatures/demons in the next chapters. Maybe we will finally see some good creatures that will join Guts cause. We have mostly seen possessions from the people that have died and apostles. Then we saw bad magical creatures like the ogres.. That hapen when they crossed path with the region of darkness (QLIPHOTH). Can't wait for the next chapters.

ever notice how much the symbol of the vatican looks like the brand? the spirals around the out sid and the three pronged spike in the middle? its a bit stylised but theres a resemblance to strong to aviod. Im keeping my eyes open...

Finally some guts appearance
I doubt Guts is going to "heal" his arm. It may seem like his hair is back to normal and his arm is healed because of the way the color and the brightness of the "light" is hitting him. However I doubt we'll see any major change at least in how he is drawn. If indeed the two worlds merged, Guts is now combined with his spiritual self which I think was mentioned somewhere is much more powerful then his physical self. So its possible now that he has more "power". What this means and how it'll work, I have no idea.
Also if you look very closely you can see his forearm is just a little bigger where the metal arm would be I'd say it's still there. You have to figure his spirit would still have all limbs.
Hmm, The vatican symbol looks simular to the staff of hermes, wich is the winged disk above two serpents spiraling like DNA. intresting symbol to assosiate with the vatican lol
But, yeah the vatican symbol does indead look like a stylised version of the brand

I agree with Rob: His spiritual self will appear like his body with all of his limbs, etc. intact. It looks just like those "out-of-body" sequences that Shierke and them go through (besides, he still has lost the sight in his right eye). Just because they showed the big evil vicious wolf entity portrayal of Guts' barbaric/rage side (everyone should know what I'm talking about - if you don't, go read the rest of the manga!), doesn't necessarily mean that it always exists and in that form - if you know what I mean. All that being said, I don't discount the possibility of him getting healed. I just think it's too early to say; Although, with Miura's style you can always tell exactly the message that he's conveying when he conveys it, if you know what I mean by that, too.
Honestly, when I posted my ideas, they were really just off the top of my head ideas. I didn't expect it to be that way, I just thought it was an interesting theory to shoot out there.
His metallic arm is wrapped up to protect from corrosion cause he's out at sea (evil salt water!). As for the engulfing light, I think that's just what it is and nothing more for guts so far...the light just covered up the bandaged metallic arm
I'm hoping to see what this fantasy world really is. Somehow, I think that the trip to Elfheim will be in tragedy. I'm going to have to guess that Elfheim will turn into some crazy warped dimension in hell. Well, at least that's based on how things have been going so far in berserk, lol. I'm completely assuming that because it's becoming more of a fantasy world, all of Guts and co.'s magical weapons will be much more useful, if not enhanced somehow! And hopefully, Guts will control a higher degree of mastery over his rage because of everything. I wouldn't have considered this before, but seeing the way things have been going, it looks like Miura is looking to transform Berserk into more of a mainstream fantasy/battle manga. What better way to do so than by adding teammates, a witch for magic, and an elf's annoying comic relief. I do miss the good old berserk days where it was all about hack and slash fun and rape. Screw the magic.
The elf's been there the entire time. If you remember the earliest volume.
As for teammates, he had those in the golden age, just to a much lesser degree because he didn't watch out for them.

Guts is not healed everyone; the light just revealed his astral form which doesnt have the scars and retains the apperance from his physical body if it didnt have any wounds except the one on his chest which he got from Slan and that was a wound to his astral body so it stays
This chapter is interesting, while many of us can say we have seen fantasy creatures, the difference is we have seen apostles not a world filled with free roaming monsters and who knows what else. Yes We have witnessed beasts used by the emperer by way of sorcery and mind control, but we have yet seen a world filled with mystical beasts raviging forests at there own will. Beings and beasts from a world fairly unknown to us is creating a sense of fascination. We have many questions that need full grasping; What is the light really doing? Will Grifith/Femto become King? Will guts or casca be any different or the same? What is going to happen at the Elf Kingdom. How are these new emerging beasts going to play a role? Will that behilet guts holds onto find its owner, could guts be the owner, and what will that owner do with it? This is opening up a whole new world and its going to be intersting to see where miura takes us. Fascinating series, I am a proud owner of all printed volumes that are available and will continue to support such a great manga.

It will be interesting to see if miura comes to this concept of "god" in the future. I'm sure he has his reasons to remove it, but non the less a fascinating chapter.
I believe it was removed because Miuria thought it gave away too much too soon. It does answer a few big questions tho...And is def. worth reading if you can find it.
