Got lucky, found the infamous chapter 83, you can use the english translation with the pictures to gain an understanding

It will be interesting to see if miura comes to this concept of "god" in the future. I'm sure he has his reasons to remove it, but non the less a fascinating chapter.

You can find the translation here, however it seems the artwork to go with them have long been taken down. If anyone has them, let me know, as I have been looking for that chapter, not easy to find these days.

Anyone ever read the "missing" chapter of BERSRK?

This chapter is interesting, while many of us can say we have seen fantasy creatures, the difference is we have seen apostles not a world filled with free roaming monsters and who knows what else. Yes We have witnessed beasts used by the emperer by way of sorcery and mind control, but we have yet seen a world filled with mystical beasts raviging forests at there own will. Beings and beasts from a world fairly unknown to us is creating a sense of fascination. We have many questions that need full grasping; What is the light really doing? Will Grifith/Femto become King? Will guts or casca be any different or the same? What is going to happen at the Elf Kingdom. How are these new emerging beasts going to play a role? Will that behilet guts holds onto find its owner, could guts be the owner, and what will that owner do with it? This is opening up a whole new world and its going to be intersting to see where miura takes us. Fascinating series, I am a proud owner of all printed volumes that are available and will continue to support such a great manga.

Guts is not healed everyone; the light just revealed his astral form which doesnt have the scars and retains the apperance from his physical body if it didnt have any wounds except the one on his chest which he got from Slan and that was a wound to his astral body so it stays

As for teammates, he had those in the golden age, just to a much lesser degree because he didn't watch out for them.

And magic, screw the magic. Even if witch loli isn't something I hate, I hate her magic.

I'm hoping to see what this fantasy world really is. Somehow, I think that the trip to Elfheim will be in tragedy. I'm going to have to guess that Elfheim will turn into some crazy warped dimension in hell. Well, at least that's based on how things have been going so far in berserk, lol. I'm completely assuming that because it's becoming more of a fantasy world, all of Guts and co.'s magical weapons will be much more useful, if not enhanced somehow! And hopefully, Guts will control a higher degree of mastery over his rage because of everything. I wouldn't have considered this before, but seeing the way things have been going, it looks like Miura is looking to transform Berserk into more of a mainstream fantasy/battle manga. What better way to do so than by adding teammates, a witch for magic, and an elf's annoying comic relief. I do miss the good old berserk days where it was all about hack and slash fun and rape. Screw the magic.

His metallic arm is wrapped up to protect from corrosion cause he's out at sea (evil salt water!). As for the engulfing light, I think that's just what it is and nothing more for guts so far...the light just covered up the bandaged metallic arm

If you look at the page before, Guts has his left arm wrapped in bandages. Would probably explain why if looks like he actually has his left arm when the light hit him.
As for the hair, I have no clue.

From my understanding, SK's sword can cut through dimension boundaries, so when what looked like Griffith taking control over the opening between different dimensions that SK created while trying taking a shot at Griffith has spread over the world and maybe thats why there are unicorns, harpies and other mythical beasts running around?

But that doesnt really make sense, as there were already elves, daemons, kelpies, ogres and trolls already existing in the world
