I for one found the unexpected change of scene quite surprising and entertaining. Their ship was sinking after the battle with the cepalopirates. They needed to dock somewhere for repairs

I am very pleased with every one’s statements. You are all bitching for very good reasons, reasons I told you all were going to happen a long time ago. I told the swordsman here that Miura was just some regular old nerd making up shit as he goes without any real idea of what he was doing, besides trying to keep an audience.
When is the english version of this chapter coming out on the swordsman? I only see a countdown for chapter 312 and not 311….

Wow more complainers where on an island, there is mystery and intrique, great artwork. What a nice bunch of fans. It also appears a new one will be out in february.
When is the English translation coming out? Will there be one or is the swordsman skipping to chapter 312?
As soon as I see one I will post it. If anyone else spots one please pass it along so everyone can benefit.
The translators may be waiting for a nice clean raw or something, I don’t exactly know. I’m not in a terrible hurry because I have two weeks to kill before the next chapter anyways.
So, basically all that happened is they got to the elf island and they found a fucked up abomination on the island? or are they on a different island?

They don’t look like elves to me. I have a bad feeling they aren’t on elfhelm.
I will laugh my ass off, if this is not Elfheim and instead it is some other place where they will spend another 5-10 chapters (read- “1 more year”) BEFORE they get to Elfheim.
If Miura releases one chapter every 15 days, he can do whatever he want with the story, it would be enjoyable. Otherwise, waiting half a fucking year for a chapter is fucking horrible, and Miura would deserve to be poked in the ass with the Dragon Slayer of Guts.
By the way, for everyone complaining about the story not getting anywhere, this series will continue well over 100 volumes. You will probably still be reading this ten years from now. Anyways, that cave reminds me of the cave the sailors entered in the Odyssey — which had a horrifying 10 headed monster in it.

I think in an interview somewhere Miura said he might see it wrap up with 60 volumes? Don’t quote me but it was no where near 100.
No no no, Miura said he was inspired by a manga that was 100 volumes long but that doesnt meen he himself is going to make this manga 100 volumes long. Too much has happened for that to be true. Miura also reported that we are 70% done with the story. This has to be elfheim or at least the portal to it.

Well most likely they made a cruise to greece then and will fight skylla and charybdis so greece can live in peace from now on.
Besides Casca is most likely to dissappear in this chapter and they will all look for her in the cave, where they are going to slay some monsters ( nothing special, just cool words from guts and the attitude, man I am the allmighty slayer) and then they go off this island and lose their way in the ocean where they will try to slay little fishes with the big Gutssword to eat them because they are starving and something like that should continue.
Maybe…
then, they will dive under water, fight a Poseidon-like monster. Commit a genocide of mermaids, discover America-like continent where people have no Apostles and never heard of Godhand, there they will commit yet another genocide of Natives of that Land. Casca will get lost, be found, get lost again, be found again, get lost, and be found yet again. Then they will FINALLY decide to go to Elfheim, but guess what? The ship gets broken and they have to repair it… Guts ends up having to fight the Forest Spirit in order to safely chop up some wood.. and so on

Already 70% percent done? You have evidence for that I dont believe its that close. He still has to kill Godhand and most of the apostles. I would say we are 50% done unless he gives a short ending.

I don’t think this manga is ever ending. When Miura dies he’ll give it to his children, and then their children and so on. Guts is 70 still fighting demons would be pretty funny
